The Association of Andean Alps Coffee Producers is a small non-profit organization that was founded on January 27, 2019 with 25 producers from the caserio (village) Barro Negro located in the district of La Coipa, province of San Ignacio, Cajamarca.
The main purpose is to produce and commercialize specialty coffees with the aim of improving the quality of life of coffee growing families, focused on social inclusion and environmental protection, working under an organic culture to be sustainable over time.
Currently the organization has 150 small producers associated with it from the districts of La Coipa, Jaen and Huabal.
They are working hard so that in the near future they can implement improvements in infrastructure on the farms of all producers through an agronomic plan to improve production and the entire post-harvest process.
Alpes Andinos has NOP and EU organic certifications and Fair Trade certification.
